Americans May get COVID Vaccine by End 2020: Pfizer CEO
In an attempt to treat the wide-spread novel corona virus, the race for development of Vaccines are underway. Most of the vaccine candidates are in Phase II/III Clinical trials in different countries in the world.
By overcoming the minor pit-falls, the vaccine developers working hard to be in the forefront of combatting the deadly virus. Though AstraZeneca has paused its vaccine trials in UK for a transient period, but was resumed yesterday.
In a talk, the CEO of leading pharmaceutical firm Pfizer, Albert Bourla said that all efforts are placing to ensure American public likely to get COVID shot by end of this year. They are gearing-up the studies in spite the FDA final accord.
Pfizer and BioNTech working collaboratively on the COVID vaccine BNT162, and also in plans to expand by 50% their Phase III Clinical trials in order to ensure safety, efficacy and to include diversified study participants. However, the USFDA has to approve such change before heading further.
To pacify the virulent effects of new SARS–CoV–2, hope the efforts are optimistic and fruitful.
